Meet Channell

Channell started at Noblis in January 2022 as an events manager for the Marketing and Communications team. In her role, she is managing the company’s presence at external events such as trade shows and conferences. When asked what she loves most about her job she said, “I love that I can take on a role that is very different for me. It’s great because I’m learning so much about the industry shows we attend and how all the moving parts for events management go hand in hand.”

How would you describe the work atmosphere at Noblis?

The work atmosphere is a true definition of community. Although I am remote, I am still able to work with some of the best employees who are always willing to help me. It’s nice to know that so many people are on the same page when it comes to the continued success of Noblis.

I’m proud to be part of Noblis. I love the collaboration and creativity and feel empowered to bring my ideas to life. It’s a place where I can take my experience to the next level.

What are benefits you enjoy most at Noblis?

Flexibility is a big one. I feel it’s important to work for a company that understands the importance of this. There’s so much going on daily at work and in our personal lives. It’s helpful to work for a company that offers so much flexibility and truly cares about your well-being.

How important is diversity in the workplace?

Diversity is very important in the workplace because it empowers employees. To see people that look like you, have shared experiences and can relate to you makes a big difference. We spend a lot of time at work, so it’s important to know we can share different viewpoints, discover different backgrounds and open ourselves up to new things.  At Noblis, we purposely seek multiple perspectives and work together to create an environment where everyone can thrive.

Can you speak specifically to flexibility and inclusivity at Noblis?

The flexibility here at Noblis is a true plus. There are so many employees facing different challenges daily. Having a company that understands this and works with you to ensure your work environment and personal well-being are intact is something you don’t always find with an employer. Noblis does a great job with inclusivity as well. We have several employee resource groups that bring employees together to share resources and tools and that provide an additional voice for that community. It’s evident that inclusivity is important to the company and strides are being made to ensure this continues.

What are some of your career goals?

Continuing to grow in my role as an event manager and educating myself on industry trends and new things that we can implement at Noblis. I’m accomplishing one of those goals through the implementation of a new system to manage our external events and improve our efficiency when working with our internal partners. I want to make our events experience as successful as possible because this is one of the ways we share the Noblis brand and mission and can create an unforgettable company presence externally.

The green spark on the Noblis logo represents our innovation and passion to make an impact. What has been your biggest “spark” moment at Noblis?

My biggest “spark” moment so far has been collaborating with colleagues from across our mission areas to deliver successful events. We truly have the best employees and it’s been such a pleasure to work with diverse individuals to plan events that align to our mission and strategy for the future.

What does the Noblis Experience – including our common purpose and service standards – mean to you? How does it show up in your day-to-day work and interactions with colleagues?

The Noblis Experience, our common purpose and service standards to me mean doing what’s right, showing respect to customers and colleagues, having an open mind to collaboration and new ideas, delivering great service and solutions.

This shows up in my day-to-day work with the amount of collaboration that is needed for events. It’s important to build trust and show respect to my fellow employees because with collaboration there’s always different opinions and viewpoints.
