Noblis Experience Corporate Awards: Meet Blake
The Noblis Experience Corporate Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond to consistently deliver exceptional service to customers and colleagues by leveraging our common purpose and service standards and behaviors. This series spotlights recipients of this award and their stories.
Blake is a cloud engineer on Noblis’ Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team. He has been with the company for 15 years and is an expert in computer science and information security. Blake consistently lives the Noblis Experience by being a respectful and efficient partner who establishes trust and confidence in every interaction.
In his role within ETO, Blake regularly works with colleagues to resolve their technical challenges. His abilities in this area were made apparent during a recent internal migration that was critical to keeping Noblis IT systems and online tools operating smoothly with minimal disruption to employees’ work. During this important transition, Blake respectfully listened to and helped colleagues resolve their connectivity and productivity challenges. He clearly and patiently answered questions and provided an excellent experience that established trust and confidence with his colleagues.
In addition to resolving technical challenges, Blake has also been essential to improving the security of several software projects. Through his innovative approach, Blake assesses multiple angles to find the best solution. He initiated what is called the static code analysis program and on-boarded over fifty software projects. He advises, coaches and pushes his colleagues to reach their mission goals and raise the bar on code quality.
In addition, Blake has been integral to the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) security assessment of Noblis’ RunCyberAssurance® digital solution. He has provided timely evidence that the appropriate security controls, policies and procedures are in place. He continues to support Noblis’ security and compliance efforts across various mission areas including FISMA and FedRAMP.
Because of Blake’s dedication and passion for excellence, our software projects are stronger and more resilient than ever before. He cares deeply about security, helping people find the right solutions and meeting Noblis’ and our customers’ missions. In addition to the Noblis Experience Corporate Award, Blake is also a three-time winner of the Noblis President’s Award.
